Jackets have no institutional markings of any type. JACKET ONLY, no book. No printings or editions stated. Circa 1950; publisher's $3.75 price at bottom of front flap. Size: octavo (a bit under 8.5" tall). Unclipped jacket is as bright as new, with light wear and minor soiling. Tiny chipping at spine and fold extremities. Faint vertical crease through the spine panel. 1" edge tear at top of rear panel. VG. (bottom.25" of my scan is cut off)

Whistle Daughter Whistle was Best's second novel. Dustjacket is in poor condition, front cover present, 2.5" loss of material bottom of spine, 1/2" loos top of spine, repaired tears on rear flap. A very scrace signed first edition. Near fine in poor dustjacket, protected with mylar cover.
