Very good No jacket. First printing of paperback version of book; has bends to spine of book, binding remains tight. Edges of paper cover show use, small dog ears to corners. Text, printed story are clean, no observed marks. Highly regarded story.
It's really funny how, when I bought this used copy, it arrived with a post-it note in one of the pages, warning children not to proceed further! In the manner of Grimm Brothers or H. C. Anderson, this tale partakes of the unhaimlich, the disturbing. Written and illustrated by the great artist, David Small.
Publishers Weekly, 2001-12-10 The inventive story of a mother frog and her mischievous offspring makes a reappearance: Eulalie and the Hopping Head by Caldecott Medallist David Small. When the young frog occupies a doll's head, chaos follows. PW wrote of the original edition, published in 1982, "Small's little book is a frolic, enticingly illustrated by ingenious woodland scenes in pretty shades and witty depictions of the anthropomorphic cast."
