As a professional writer, I thought I knew everything there was to know about English grammar. However, there is not a 1-1 correlation with Spanish grammar! Some constructions just do not translate. This book was very helpful and was even more helpful to my hubby who had a hard time with the "naming" of the various verb tenses.
It was smart of Ms. Spinelli to realize what the problem was for many who do not master Spanish grammar easily--knowing English grammar has to come first. An excellent book and I recommend it highly for learning Spanish more easily.

I would recommend this book to those that are serious about learning the fundamentals of Spanish grammar. The individual must be disciplined in its use. I find it very helpful, but wish it had more examples of usage in sentences.
