Do they tell the negroes they are in favor of negro suffrage?Answer. They tell them that they have a right to vote. Question. They know that without being told by the democrats. Answer. I think it did up to a year or two ago; I think their discipline is not so rigid now and the negroes are becoming more divided in their political views than they were. Question.
