Light splitting to the bottom of the front hinge, but other than that the text block binding is fine. Cream pages with strong foxing throughout. One of the tipped in image plates is detached and present, may be other loose plates inside. Beautiful illustrations on the colour and B&W plates. Small pen inscription to the back of the ffep. Moderately stained, blemished and soiled boards with rubbing, scuffing and surface wear. Moderate edge rubbing, scuffing and wear with moderate corner bumping and splitting to the edges of the spine. Small pen inscription to the front board. Overall binding is slack and boards strongly edge-worn and exposed. Inscription to plate on front board which is tanned and marked.

Very Good. Condition: Very Good; " 1920, SM 4TO, 93 PGS. One quarter blue cloth binding over plaid paper covered boards. With illustrated plate pasted down on front board. Paper covering boards is chipping at edges, and tearing away at front top corner. Boards are scuffed and rubbed at edges, cloth fraying at spine ends, spine has a 1" tear in center. Interior is solid, with foxing beginning throughout block, more to front and rear. 16 lovely tipped in color plates, and 15 black and white illustrations accompany this sweet story.
