PHOTO Cover // Silverman, Burt (illustrator). Very Good. Trade Paperback. 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall. 214 pages. ""Playing secrets and rollicking memoirs of a great champion." He tells how a young hillbilly (himself) became golf's biggest money winner. He passes his education along to you in the most practical-and enjoyable-golf lessons ever written.
One of my favorite golf books of all time. I purchased this as a second edition because my original was worn out. The book was published in 1962.
Sam (through Al Stump) tells the story of his rise from humble roots to become one of the world's great golfers. While Sam is far from humble in telling his tale, it is a great read - thoroughly entertaining. Story telling at its best that includes of many of the great names of the past during the early days of the pro tour.
