I read yet couple of darkroom and photo books and found this book very good. Very good for advanced photographer, knowing about processing his material, already established personal norms and some expirience in darkroom. Mr. Thornton gives a lot of very practical information about high resolution photography, ranging from film, paper and equipmnet to chemicals and processing. E.g. this book includes tests of lenses for cameras and for enlargers, but with very practical background and focus on usefulnes of such a test. Globaly, I feel, the author provides information which can push advanced photographer skills, and thats not so easy.
