The Wheel of Time collection has been an outstanding read for me which I am thoroughly engaged in. I started by picking up book #14 & I read approximately 150-200 pages totally engrossed. At this point, I stopped reading it & started researching Jordan & the WOT series. I then obtained the prequel, "New Spring" & "The World of Robert Jordan's The Wheel Of Time" so I had a better understanding of what was going on. I then started Book #1, and am now on Book #7. Fascinating characters, action, intrigue, magical powers, loyalty, deceit, scheming, etc; which all gets me totally involved in the story. Once you start with Book #1, the rest follow in immediate time in sequence, which is great. I am not writing individual reviews of each book as this is a continuous story which falls in place as you read each book. Love it & sorry I didn't get started with Robert Jordan long ago.
Battles in the sky, the truth out for the entire world to know and still Rand Al'Thor refuses to except the obvious. In the continuing saga that is Robert Jordan's wonderful world, Rand is obsessed with an object of power that will name him what he is, and he still refuses to see it. Frieghtned by what it means, he takes off alone, forcing his friends to follow and try to help him before it's too late. Meanwhile Mat goes with Egwene, Elayne, and Nynaeve to the last place he would ever want to, the Tower. But he must go or he will not be able to survive as himself. Though, upon return the women do not get what they expect. They are treated as fugitives and runaways. They learn new abilities and grow stronger, but then are forced to run away yet again. Assigning Mat with a task, they intent to save him from whatever will happen, only to put him in a position to find out about the true danger they are in and attempt to save them.
