Rick Atkinson is the American Antony Beevor. This a suburbly researched and written history.

Definitive History

by massapequaparking on Mar 15, 2013

This book reads at times like a novel. The WWII African campaign is somewhat fragmented with fighting at different locations at the same time. Atkinson brings it together in the definitive history of allied involvement in Africa. I look forward to reading the next two installments in the Liberation Trilogy!
