Very Good. Book A collection of amusing rhymes by Tom Hood, illustrated by Ernest Griset. With an illustration to each page, engraved by the Brothers Dalziel. Condition: Expertly rebound in a paper covered binding. Externally, smart with slight rubbing to boards. Internally, firmly bound. Chipping, small closed tearsand curling to the edges of many pages. Generally bright with handling marks to many pages. Overall: GOOD.

Withone-hundred quaint designs by Ernest Griset, and engraved by the Brothers Dalziel, thesedelightful engravings feature amusing caricatures of people and animals. Featuring original boards with coloured gilt vignette to the front board. Bound by W. Bone and Son. Condition: Ina cloth binding with gilt motif to the front board, and lettering to the re-backed spine. Externally, a trifle rubbed, with wear to extremities and spine. Both hinges are strained. Internally, generally firmly bound, although last page of advertisementsis detached but present. Pages are bright, withsome spots and handling marks. Overall: GOOD ONLY.
4to. (10 x 8 inches). Unnumbered prelims + 151 + 4 (adverts). B/w frontis and numerous b/w illusts. Original maroon cloth gilt, large sunken oval cut-out, chromolithographed paper onlay. Bevelled edges. A.e.g. Corners rubbed. Inner hinges just split, with webbing showing. Slightly shaken. Reverse of frontis and rear free endpaper browned. O/w contents clean and bright. A very good copy. We reduce the default shipping charge for lighter books or use it for a tracked service if books are expensive or uncommon. We pack books securely in boxes, or corrugated card or cardboard, and protect corners with bubble-wrap.
