I like the fact that Dr. Mike is a no-nonsense Brit who tells it like it is; no fluff or politically correct verbage. He is straight-forward, and his lifestyle recommendations are simple, economical, and healthy.
The basic and bottom line is this: less bad foods, more activity. Common sense, right? But if you follow the 17 day cycles as suggested, your energy and overall health and well-being will improve exponentially, while your overall body fat and waistline decreases dramatically.

Best diet there is !!!!
I have tried, and failed at MANY diets. I just could not stay with them, they did not seem to work for me. But The 17 Day Diet is the best thing that has happened to me.
I have lost over 15 lbs now, and easily. I have a problem with carbs...I am too addicted to them...but this diet teaches me how to handle my carbs. If I happen to gain a pound, then I go right back quickly to cycle 1 of the plan and within a week I lost another 3 lbs.
I can't say enough good things about this diet...except...IT WORKS !!!!

I have been trying to lose on my own and wasn't having success...Following the suggested meals has helped greatly.

This book was not the most current and I had to do a lot of converting and google searches to understand what the author was discussing.

I didn't care for the book, the diet or anything else. It was waaaaaaaaaaay too hard to do!
