The Social Animal: The Hidden Sources of Love, Character, and Achievement
by David Brooks
Brookes is good, that's an understatement, as a shrink myself I appreciate the depths of his research and his explanations in laymen's terms, nice work David.

Like a children's book
This book is written as a detailed story with characters, whose lives we follow. It struck me as rather childish, so much so that I finally had to give up on it.
I would recommend this book for young people who are not geeks or heavily into science, but who are smart enough to want to know something about the why of emotions and relationships. Ditto for adults who like romances.
If you prefer more science and less drama, this book is not for you.
