Marbled cover with green leather corners and spine with raised bands and gilded lettering. Edges of textblock and endpapers are marbled as well. All pages of text are clean and have only very light toning. Binding is in excellent condition for its age: the book is unshaken and the spine has not cracked and is holding tightly to the textblock. Includes three pasted photographs: one of an unknown woman on the front pastedown, one of William Caldwell on a free endpaper, and one of William Caldwell's house on the facing page.
