Physical Activity and Nutrition.--The Committee recommendation includes a total of $944,702,000 for programs to increase physical activity, improve nutrition, and reduce obesity and overweight, an increase of $34,221,000 over the fiscal year 2003 appropriation. Infectious Disease Initiative.--The Committee bill includes $2,138,960,000 for infectious disease research, prevention and control.
