Audience: General/trade. krehm, a canadian writer and radical, wrote for 'time' magazine in the 40s covering the turmoil and revolutions in the caribbean region. much of what he wrote 'time' would not published and they fired him in 1947. this book was published in spanish in 1948, but it was 1984 before he was able to see this english version published. the book is a good primary source for the history of the dictators and oligarchs of the region and the powers behind them.
