There are only a few biographies or illustrated books on Boris Karloff, including an excellent (expensive) parallel biography of Karloff and Lugosi. This book will please everyone, including those who would like more documentation and photographs of Karloff's stage work.
A well-known figure who managed to keep most of his private life just that, private. This is a well-illustrated, but not completely satifying look at an icon of the industry and a truly decent, if somewhat eccentric, individual. Still in all, it is about the best read to date that you are going to get, and that makes it valuable to any fan.
