Near Fine in Very Good jacket. Hardback Bumped at top and base of spine and with a 1" square stamp ( in Chinese lettering? ) on front endpaper. Very clean copy in price clipped dustwrapper although there is a price on the rear flap. Slightly soiled dustwrapper that is also bumped and creased at the top of the spine.

Good in good dust jacket. Good Clean Condition Book. Prize label to the inner cover. The dust jacket is a little tatty and torn. Good condition is defined as: a copy that has been read but remains in clean condition. All of the pages are intact and the cover is intact and the spine may show signs of wear. Good in GOOD jacket. 1944. First thus. 471 pages. Tan cloth boards, red titling, purple DJ. Clean inside with light foxing to feps, small pencil marks to ffep but otherwise clean. Originally published as 'The First Forty-Nine' in 1939, this is the 1ed of this re-set, re-titled edition. Boards are a little rubbed with light rub-wear and bumping, spine is a little cocked with ends bumped. Unclipped DJ is sunned with edge-wear and rubbing, small chips at the spine ends. Price recently reduced! ! !
