40,000 Saw the Exhibition

by Waldo Emerson on Jun 20, 2013

This is in effect the catalogue of a fabulous exhibition of guitars ca. 1600 to 2010. 40,000 persons saw the exhibtion at the Boston Museum of Fine Art. Many color pictures show the instruments on display, including a Stradivarius guitar and a Voboam (guitarist to Louis XIV). The text by Darcy Kuronen, curator of the Music INstrument Collection, is authoritative. Highly recommended.

An excellent compilation !!!

by Christos on Dec 26, 2008

When this book came to my hands I was really surprised by the contents; I admit that they were beyond my expectations! 224 pages of the best and at least most unique instruments ever build. Although I am quite an expert on guitar history I found instruments I didn?t know that they were even exist, an amazing collection from Baroque to the 21st century. I highly recommend this book to anyone truly interested on guitars.
