A rare find, an old illustrated children's pop-up story book about Doctor Dolittle. Presented by Hallmark Cards, Inc. and Random House. The musical movie appeared on twentieth Century Fox many years ago. A man that talks to the animals their languages. John Dolittle along with some of friends set out for a great adventure voyage in search of the legendary Great Pink Sea Snail. In his boat, The Flounder they set sail for the South Atlantic Ocean in search of Star Island. There many things happened during their visit with the Island Natives the story tells, but in the end the do get to see and talk with Snail. It gives Dr. Dolittle's friends a ride back to England in her shell. He follows on the wings of the Giant Lunar Moth. Five pop-ups and three slides thru-out the book in bright colors along with many other illustrations to accompany the story. Very good, solid condition cover boards. Some discoloration to white cover boards, pages clean and free of any markings. No dust jacket. Can't find date anywhere inside. Still a neat book to have. Photo is our book.
