Very Good. Clean, crisp, bright pages; no owners' marks or bookplate; there is one small nick in the gilding at each edge of the page block, a tiny scratch in the leather at the rear foreedge, one small chip at each of the free corners, and light rubbing to the spine heel; otherwise excellent. Full red leather binding with gilt titles and decoration; bound-in ribbon, moire endpapers, all page edges gilded. 559pp. Collector's notes laid in. Part of "The Leather-Bound Library of Military History" series.
Originally read when I was in high school. Reread because I did not appreciate what an amazing story this is and what a gargantuan effort was needed to defeat Nazi Germany. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in history!
