Originally read when I was in high school. Reread because I did not appreciate what an amazing story this is and what a gargantuan effort was needed to defeat Nazi Germany. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in history!
In this book, General D. Eisenhower provides a detailed description of the biggest military campaign of all times, Europe's liberation from the grip of the Nazis.
Reading through the pages of this book, you will understand that liberation was not only possible through courage and leadership. It was also the result of careful planning and well drafted logistics.
You will see Eisenhower acting as the top manager of an enterprise running thousands of planes, tanks and ships. If you would like to know the essentials of managing millions of people towards a hard objective, read this book.
In summary, this book tells the story of one of the greatest achievements of modern history, in the words of the man that made it possible.
You won't be disappointed!
