Volume II: The theatre of to--day [two volumes, paired] x, 325, 335p., gravure frontispieces tissue-guarded, inserted plates as called for, first edition green cloth boards titled gilt with elaborate cartouches in white and gold, t.e.g., semi-trimmed edges. Casings are generally mildly edgeworn, but the second volume bears an eighth-inch gouge to spine and two similar gouges to foredge of upper board, each gouge exposing card beneath. An otherwise quite nice, sound, clean set.
