Very good. No dust jacket. Account of missionary work. Small octavo 7 1/2" tall, 512 pages, green cloth. A good hard cover copy with general shelf wear and cloth discoloration; Minor damage to bottom of spine.
Very Good. ORIGINAL ISSUE. First edition (same date on title and copyright pages; no additional printings listed). Original brown cloth, stamped gilt lettering, approximately 51/2 x 7 inches, 512 pp, illustrated with steel engraved frontispiece of author and 1 plate (Remington Hall, Bareilly). Hardcover, very good. Corners bumped with a bit of cardboard exposed there, 1/2 inch drop mark on front panel, spine faded, a few 1/16th inch nicks at head and foot, light soil on cloth, a few 1/32nd inch nicks on side edge of rear board. Internally, paper lightly age yellowed, 1 1/2 inch tear on lower corner of tissue guard, bit of foxing on and adjacent to frontispiece, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked and apparently never read. Account of an American missionary's work in India. Travel; history; religion.
