A delightful set in very good condition (normal wear: heads of all volumes nicked and worn, corners worn). 16mos in 3/4 red leather, red boards, gilt-decorated spine with raised bands and contra sting leather labels, t.e.g. Frontis portraits of Browning, all different, appear in 3 of the vols. The other volume's frontis is a rendering of "Guido Franceschini, " a character in the poem "Half-Rome."

Very Good. Book A decorative collection of Robert Browning's poetry, including classics such as The Ring and the Book. Bound in brown cloth with gilt lettering and decoration. Thirteen Volumes of Sixteen Volumes. This collection includes, Red Cotton Nightcap Country, The Inn Album, Dramatic Lyrics, Luria, Paracelsus and Strafford, The Ring and the Book, Pauline and Sordello, Aristophanes' Apology, Agamemnom of Aeschylus, A Blot in the Scutcheon, Etc, Ferishtah's Fancies, Parleyings with Certain People, Dramatic Romances Etc, Dramatic Idyls, Jocoseria, and Balaustion's Adventure Etc. Condition: The bindings are generally tight and firm. The rear inner hinge of Stucheon is strained. There is only slight wear to the extremities, with just slight rubbing and bumping. Aristophanes' Apology has several splits to the cloth. Dramatic Idyls has some marks to the boards. Internally the pages have slight browning with the occasional spot. There are some marks toseveral of the pastedowns. Overall the condition is very good.
Sixteen volumes, as issued, in olive green cloth over matching green leather spines, with gilt lettering and decorations, and black bands on the spines. Very good+ lacking dust jackets. Owner's name and date in small lettering in each volume, a little wear to the heads of the spines and the cloth covered boards. There are a few light pencil marks in a few of the volumes. Frontispiece portraits of Browning at different ages in three of the volumes, and a few illustrations. This is the entire set as issued, although a 17th volume-Asolando-was issued later.
