Claudette Sanders is having a flying lesson and Dale Barbara is hitching a ride out of town. Neither make it to their intended destinations ...Inexplicably, an invisible barrier has descended over the town. A bird is chopped right in half; a gardener's hands are severed at the wrists; the plane explodes with sheets of flame spreading to the ground and Dale Barbara, Iraq war vet turned short-order cook, is forced to turn back into the town he so desperately needed to leave. As the residents speculate about what has cut them off from the rest of the world, the Army searches for an inside man. 'Barbie' is put in charge. But Big Jim Rennie, the man who holds the town in his powerful grip, has other plans. Now time is running out for those living under the dome. Can they find what has created it before it's too late?Stephen King's mesmerising new masterpiece - his biggest, most riveting novel since THE STAND - features spectacularly sinister characters and a terrifying phenomenon. Very Good in Very Good jacket. Very Good +++ 1st Edition, 1st Printing. 1 in line string). Ask for. jpeg if needed. A copy that has been read, but remains in excellent condition. Pages are intact and are not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged. ***** SYNOPSIS: When the small town of Chester's Mill, Maine, is surrounded by an invisible force field, the people inside must exert themselves to survive. The situation deteriorates rapidly due to the dome's ecological effects and the machinations of Big Jim Rennie, an obscenely sanctimonious local politician and drug lord who likes the idea of having an isolated populace to dominate. Opposing him are footloose Iraq veteran Dale "Barbie" Barbara, newspaper editor Julia Shumway, a gaggle of teen skateboarders and others who want to solve the riddle of the dome. King handles the huge cast of characters masterfully but ruthlessly, forcing them to live (or not) with the consequences of hasty decisions. **********MY SHIPPING PLEDGE ***** Orders placed by 4pm CST will be shipped same day. Another Awesome Book by S. King
As always, Stephen King never disappoints when writing a new story. Just when you think he couldn't possibly have a untold story, he writes another. This is a book that you cannot put down. It will keep your interest from the moment you start, and you'll not be able to stop thinking about it. I give this book A++, a worthwhile investment. Even if you are not a King fan, you'll LOVE it. If you are a King fan, don't miss this story, you'll be impressed with S King all over again.AWESOME

Under the Dome
Classic Stephen King! Loved it! I have admired and loved his work over the years. Under The Dome is another of his many books I have come to love. Many of his books have been made into movies. Hopefully this one will be made into a movie too.
