Plimer's book HEAVEN AND EARTH: Global Warming, the Missing Science
is an excellent overview. Most believers in anthropogenic induced warming won't read the book, but skeptics should. It's not a quick read, but will be worth the effort for those who want a grounding in climate science. It's virtually an encyclopedia, easily referenced and heavily footnoted.
