Black Bindery tape used on front hinge inside front free endpaper. Rear hinge is fine. Evenly yellowed pages, rubbing to grey cloth boards and first 20-30 page edges due to front hinge repair. Some fraying to cloth edges, corners, foot and head of spine. Overall not a bad copy at all, sounds much worse than it is-much better than Good, thus VG-for this hard to locate title.

"The biography of Thomas Alva Edison is in response to the demand which the deep-seated public interest, called forth by the brilliant Edison inventions, has created for a knowledge of the person and the life of this greatest of living inventors. " This book has 362 pages and is illustrated with over 200 illustrations and photographs. The front hinge is weak. In the printing process a few of the pages were stuck together at the top of the pages. This is a minor problem and a previous owner carefully separted the pages leaving only minor traces of the glue. Overall this is a VERY GOOD copy of this VERY SCARCE book.
