All seven Narnia stories are presented here, unabridged, in one impressive volume. Including an essay on writing by C.S. Lewis. The Narnia Chronicles, first published in 1950, have been and remain some of the most enduringly popular books ever published. The best known, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, has been translated into 29 languages! Journeys to the end of the world, fantastic creatures, and epic battles between good and evil -- what more could any reader ask for in one book? For the past fifty years, The Chronicles of Narnia have transcended the fantasy genre to become part of the canon of classic literature. Each of the seven books is a masterpiece, drawing the reader into a world where magic meets reality, and the result is a fictional world whose scope has fascinated generations. This edition presents all seven books -- unabridged -- in one impressive volume. The books are presented here according to Lews's preferred order, each chapter graced with an illustration byt the original artist, Pauline Baynes. This edition also contains C.S. Lewis's essay "On Three Ways of Writing for Children", in which he explains precisely how the magic of Narnia and the realm of fantasy appeal not only to children but to discerning readers of all ages.

Best Series EVER
I have loved this series since I was a child. Regardless of your age, reading level, or religion this is an excellent tale that sweeps you away to another world (one that I would move to in a heartbeat if possible).
It does have some corollaries with the Bible's story but as a child I was unaware of these and still loved these books.

Loved this years ago and found as much in rereading the Chronicles. Recommend this timeless saga.

I love these books!
I agree wit the other reviewer - this is an EXCELLENT collection of books to read and own. I watched The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe as a child on TV and never forgot it. When the books gained hype again due to the more recent Lion/Witch/Wardrobe movie - I bought the collection and read them all. I'm a 31 year old woman and these books were fasinating. These may be considered children's books - but they really aren't - they're truly for all ages. I loved them and will read them again and again!
Publishers Weekly, 2007-11-26 Also by Robert Sabuda, The Chronicles of Narnia, a pop-up synopsis of the series by C.S. Lewis, devotes a spread to each of the seven books. On the opening spread, dedicated to The Magician's Nephew, an enormous Aslan (the Lion) springs forth, and a die-cut foldout conceals a pop-up of the birth of Narnia.
