Tape mark on front and rear inside board. Good reading copy. Cloth boards have been laminated. Marking to front and rear board appear to be underneath the laminate. Laminate spit along spine on the front and removed in left corner. Corners and spine ends bumped.

Good overall in beige cloth covered boards. Some discoloration to the spine and a previous owner's name, but the contents are clean and the binding is sturdy. HC 1st ed-A laid-off advertising man places a "starting bid" at a country auction and finds out that he bought a run-down farm-a humorous but rather idyllic picture of a family adapting to country living (although for Gran, it is a return to the farm life she loved) as World War II steadily worsens in Europe. Illustrated by the author. 280 pp. Turquoise and cream illustrated endpapers.

Boards are fair, light water drop marks on spine, fair bumping and tearing to spine end, light bumping to corners, with slight rub and tan markings on front and back.
