Shattering Atheists' inflated egos

by DarkDan on Jan 9, 2009

This is perhaps the best Christian book I have ever read. Not only is the literary and stylism of each author excellent, entertaining and sometimes witty, but the level of research, scholarship and detail is absolutely impeccable. I can find no fault in this work, except maybe Holding went a little easy going on some of the claims and claimants then he usually does in his contributions. Not only does it prove beyond all and any doubt the accuracry and genuineness of the non-Biblical sources of Jesus, but it shatters all and every argument mounted against Jesus' existence and deal with the claimants in a similar manner. It gives a list of Historians from Jesus' time who clearly mention him and proves how they were genuine. It completely destroys all arguments issued against this irrefutible evidence. Completely destroys the claims of GA Wells and Earl Doherty, highlighting their lack of qualifications and how there is no evidence for their claims. Also points how dishonest Doherty and Wells are. It completely annihilates the copycat claims and refutes the claims of Acharya S, Freke and Gnady and Tom Harpur and thoroughly pounds them into the dust. Also highlights the absurdity of the films Zeitgeist and The God Who Wasn't There. I especially laughed out loud when the authors quoted the claimants responses to arguments against them. It is truly telling of their lunacy. Also goes on to deal with the claims of more qualified claimants like Richard and Robert M. Price. Before reading this, I actually had a higher opinion of the more esteemed proponents of the Jesus Myth Thesis, such as Richard Carrier. But now, having read that book and the claims of each proponent of the "Jesus Myth Thesis" I can safely say they are delusional imaginative dilinquents who have no clue what they are talking about. After reading this book, I am amazed anyone can still uphold the Jesus Myth Thesis at all given all the evidence for Jesus' existence and the complete lack of evidence for the Jesus Myth claims. I would totally recommend this to anyone who believes Jesus never existed, anyone who is interested in finding out if Jesus was real or any Christian who is worried by the claims and claimants fo the Jesus Myth Thesis. I eagerly anticipate Holding's next release!!!
