Bawdy satire for sports fans
This book, from the writer of the blog Kissing Suzy Kolber, is what you'd expect from, well, the writer of that site. In theory, it's an instruction manual for prospective pro athletes, telling them the rules of the road and how to behave. In actuality, it's poking fun at all athletes and in the process making a few good points along the way.
It's incredibly light reading - you can probably read and watch a game on TV at the same time - but always enjoyable. There are even some USA Today like "Did you know?" that are often as funny as anything else in the chapters. It does tend to be a bit frat-boy humor at times, and sometimes takes the easy route but balances that with great sports knowledge and excellent writing from a real fan.
Well worth the read.
