It takes a lot of time and effort to train a dog for Hospice, but you'll find in this book that some dogs are naturals. Very inspiring!

I work for a small hospice and have used this book to educate my hospice volunteers. Jon does a phenomenal job sharing what he learned through the volunteer training classes and through visits with hospice and non hospice pateints at the end of life.
While focused on Izzy (what an incredible dog) the book is warm and inspiring. Two of my volunteers have read the book and others are waiting for it to come their way.
Dogs are amazing creatures and working dogs need some job to do. In 2010, I will start my dog training to be a visitation dog!
