Book Fair/Good in No Dustcover jacket. Ex Library-Private Club. 6 3/4" Tall. 398 pages. This book is of poor appearance and is good for a working/reading copy for its contents. Pages 41-44 are free/loose, binding fragile from p.25-40 but holding. Nearly 400 illustrations. Book has discoloured boards, probably originally green, and may have been rebound, gilt titles to spine are crooked, heavy wear to spine-ends, corners, snags to top of spine and spine edges, front and rear boards have been attacked by bookworms in places-this damage is immediately visible. Ex-club library sticker to rear front board and rear flyleaf. Name in ink to endpaper, title page and first page of text. Front and rear hinges are badly cracked and gaping, but holding well. Page edges darkened with use. Marigins of text have some finger marks, but text is unimpeded. Contents are hilarious, which gives a clue as to why book is so worn! Undated-must be Victorian, we consider early in date.
