This book is THE only book you need if you are interested about learning the theory and mechanics of Jazz music. Written in a way thats easy to understand, it covers nearly everything you need to know, referencing musical examples from many great jazz musicians. Since I have studied this book my comprehension of theory has improved greatly. I've read a lot of books on the topic but this by far stands out as being the clear-cut winner!
