Like it or lump it...

by Penny S on Jan 14, 2011

Like it or lump it as the book says or in your church..It was like reading about everything that's happening in our church..The Authors response (in his fictional church) is saying the same thing our Pastor's are saying; "We are going to stay w/the contemporary theme. We (the seniors) are expected to tithe to this type of worship & if we don't like it, move on....The Authors viewpoint is idealistic at best..In that the senior (charter) members come to their way of reasoning & give up all that is traditional...It's a good book, but frustrating to those of us that aren't seeing some kind of compromise by the author or in our church...

The best book

by d29wilki on Oct 14, 2008

This book was one of the best books I have ever read. Although the characters are all fictional (besides the main character and his wife) the book relates to many dilemmas inside the doors of the church.
