I read this book because I had just finished reading The Shack, Eat, Pray Love and Happy for No Reason. I needed a funny book. I came across this one accidentally. AJ is such an amazing writer that the simple line "Is the black sheep more rebellious than the others" sent me into hysterics! His wife obviously has a sense of humor too because of the way she dealt with the menstruation issue - sheer genius - but even better when told by AJ. I have people salivating to read this book because they hear me laughing out loud . I have also begun the Know It All. Also funny but I have not gotten as far into it. Wonderful writer...what's next?? I would love to see the movie!

A wonderful humorous book. Maybe its best read by an agnostic which I'm one. I think I learned more about the Bible through this book than going to church.

I loved this book. Jacobs A.J (A.J. as you get to know him in the book) is a great writer. My daughter started reading the book while I was reading it and she took it home with her! A.J. is funny and gave the search for spirituality an honest shot. He was open minded though I think he should have given the New Testament equal time as he did the old Testament. His wife is very patient! Good luck with the boys!
