The book reads like a good mystery. We learn the ins and outs of German intelligence and the foolishness of their intelligence service. How easily they were tricked.

Agent Zigzag is probably Ben Macintyre's best effort writing about WWII MI5/Abwehr relationships and operations. His depth of details, understanding and explanation of the operations of both agencies during those years is astounding! I am an avid reader of his books and simply could not put this one down!!
