It's a Textbook

by StanleyandStella on Jan 18, 2009

A well-written book about food and nutrition worthy of a college classroom. It is difficult reading for an average person looking for diet advice. I found only one chapter pertinent to the average dieter. The remaining parts of the book are wonderful if you were scientifically researching food and how it works with the body. When I purchased this book I expected to find easy to read information that would help me understand which foods to eat and which foods to avoid. A Very Significant Work

by algaelady on Mar 6, 2008

This is a masterful work by a talented and persevering soul. His dedication to getting the truth out concerning the role of saturated fats in the diet and in our health is more than commendable. It is heroic. Our culture is so permeated by the saturated-fat-is-bad paradigm, that to go against the mainstream in this way is quite astonishing. For those of us intent on finding answers to nutritional questions, this reads like a mystery novel. It is an encyclopedic work that deserves to be read by everyone interested in nutrition, but especially by the medical community.
