This book like all Peter Reinhart books is a real treasure. I have owned several of his books and am never disappointed. As much as I am enjoying this book however, his book "Crust and Crumb" is still my favorite. However,anyone seriously interested in artisan bread making should have all his books in my opinion.
This is an extraordinary book by an extraordinary teacher! If you are truly interested learning to create good bread, then this is the book you should purchase. The author gives you all the information you need to completely understand the process and begin making the most delicious bread you've ever eaten. I've been an avid bread-baker for many years, but I learned a great deal from this book.
