Yes, they have enough money to buy a house in Italy, but this is also a book of the journey as they create a life in Italy - the food, the friendships, the re-discovery of each other. Reading this book makes me want to go live in Italy!

Very interesting and entertaining, everyone I have passed it along to has had the same reaction. Loved it! Hoping they write more books.

The rich are different from you and me

While this book starts out in a charming enough fashion, after a while it wears thin. This is life post-L.A. Law, when Michael Tucker and his co-star wife moved to a perfect little villa in Tuscany, where they proceeded to experience perfect gourmet cooking and to meet perfect local celebrities. Yawn.

This is an amazing book. Michael Tucker is a great writer. The way he writes about Italy and its food makes you feel as though you are right there with him enjoying it too.

After a fabulous trip to italy I was longing to return if only in my mind. Michael Tucker's book did this for me and then some. Michael and his wife Jill Eikenberry, yurning to shed their old life in the United States, travel to the Umbrian region of Italy and find the love of their lives, Casa Rustica, a 300 year old stone house in need of love and tender care. With the help of friends old & new and the odd assorment of characters not only does Casa Rustica blossom into a beautiful home but Michael and Jill learn the real meaning of La Dolce Vita. A charming story of love, friendship, good food and real estate!
