No edition stated nor is the date present. From the binding and dust jacket style this was printed in the 1930s. An account of the institution as it existed in the palace of the Turkish Sultans with a history of the grand seraglio from its foundation to the present time. Binding shows light wear along edges with heavier wear at tips of corners, front end papers have 1.5 inch tear along spine starting at lower edge, small stain on title page, some pages still uncut while others were badly cut. Text is unmarked but paper is a little age toned. Dust jacket is age toned and a bit soiled, a little edge worn, now protected in a clear archival cover. Images available.
