Title in gold on spine. It is a facsimile reprint of the 1824 edition, with a new foreword by Joseph C. Dey. Text is clean and crisp. Volume two is A FEW RAMBLING REMARKS ON GOLF WITH THE RULES AS LAID DOWN BY THE ROYAL AND ANCIENT CLUB OF ST. ANDREWS by Robert Chambers. Very nice two tone cloth boards. Light spotting to spine. Text is clean and crisp. This is a facsimile reprint of the 1862 edition. Both of these books are limited editions of 1900 copies, but they are unnumbered. On the line in which this set should have received a number, the word "Printers" is on that line. They are encased in a plain brown slipcase which shows minor wear and soil.
