I enjoy Barbara Brown Taylor, have read other her books and heard her speak. While I enjoyed this book, I have to say it was not her best. I was left wondering whether Taylor is not called to do what she and others like Frederick Buechner (who never served a parish) do best - WRITE! That she does very well, which is why I still recommend this book, despite its flaws.
