Dogs fill a vital function in the collective consciousness of humanity ...they show us what we have lost and, once we realise that, they can help us in our shift into a deeper state of consciousness." (Eckhart Tolle). From bestselling author and visionary Eckhart Tolle comes this wonderful, enlightening and inspiring work on the importance of dogs and cats not just as pets, but as guides, guardians and beloved friends. Richly illustrated by Patrick McDonnell, creator of Mutts, Guardians of Being shows us that not only can we rely on our pets to help us, but that though their partnership, we can gain a deeper understanding of the universe and its love, as well as ourselves. Through this extraordinary exploration of our relationship with animals, Tolle demonstrates that our relationship with the animals we know and care for is not simply a bond of love, but a spiritual one too, transcending words to form an uplifting, enlightening experience.Read Less

This is a delightful book with wonderful drawings by Patrick McDonnell and how could it miss with quotes from Eckhart Tolle? Knowing how much animals mean to both these men makes my day brighter. I loved reading this book and look forward to sharing it with my grandchildren.

A MUST FOR ALL
I found this book by accident at my local grocery store of all places, and being a follower of Eckhart Tolle, I ws immediately drawn to it. On opening it and reading some of the beautiful, inspirational thoughts, I had to purcchase it in order to enjoy it in the quietude of my meditation space.
The book is completely enchanting, both text and illustration wise, and I am currently stocking up on a few for Christmas present for my young granddaughters and for some cancer patients I am working spiritually with. A GREAT BOOK which can be leafed through daily and totally absorbing in its first read.
