This is a fast moving, generations- of- families book that deals in an exciting way with the interactions between two Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia families over several hundred years. I especially enjoyed the intricacies, characters, and adventures of the early period and the picture of the English and Americans in the War of 1812.
