On the island of Mindanao, a man calling himself "general" Fertig has set up a guerrilla leader to harass the Japanese. Army records show the only officer named Fertig in the Phillipines is a reserve lietenant colonel of the Corps of Engineers, reported MIA on Luzon. The reports filtering out are interesting, and Marine Lt. Ken McCoy has been ordered to sneak behind the lines and find out if the "General" is for real.

In England some have been hard to obtain but Albris has come up trumps and I now have every book that he has written. All most illuminating and enjoyable. It is a pity that the British Army was not involved in any of the conflicts as they might have been able to help!
