A good read!..worth every minute.

by William M on Sep 22, 2011

Great storyteller...wonderful detail and action. We get to read the mind of our hero and his foe. The action moves along at a nice clip, the details of the White House put you there. The other charcters are well drawn out, and even when they are killed or die a chapter later, you feel for them or understand them. This is worth reading just for the insight into the White House. An action fan will not be sorry. I enjoyed every minute of "Transfer of Power".

This is the first Vince Flynn book I have read. Heard a lot about him from others and it did not disappoint. GREAT book. Do yourself a favor and read it.

The whole book will keep you guessing from beginning to end. It starts out innocent and when you get past the beginning you won't believe what happens next!!! I highly recommend Vince Flynn's Rapp series!!! If you like intrigue you will like this book!!

A Genuine Hero

by piafinn on Mar 8, 2008

Written in 1999, of course, before 9-11, this book is about the takeover of the White House by terrorists. An interesting point made by a Secret Service agent, is the realization that there is no way to protect against or prevent an airplane loaded with explosives from crashing into the building. This was before the no-fly zone over the White House. This book introduces Anna Rielly, whom Mitch Rapp later marries. She is one of the hostages and they meet when he saves her life. A genuine hero. He almost single-handedly gathers intelligence, takes down the terrorists, and saves the President. A well-told story with a lot of action and suspense.
