John Dk Rollo had a grant, in the reign of Robert III. of the lands of Duncrub, and others, in the county of Perth, from David Stuart, Earl of Strathern, which lands his descendant, William Rollo, had erected into the barony of Duncrub, by charter, dated '26th August, 1511. From this William descended, lineally, James Rolu, esq. of Duncrub, who m. Agnes, daughter of Robert Collicc, of Balnamoon, and dying in 15H4, was s. by his only son, Sib Andrew Km i knt. of Duncrub, who was elevated to the peerage of Scotland 10th June, 1031, by the title of Baron Rollo, of Duncrub, with remainder to his heirs male whatsoever. His lordship m. Catharine, daughter of James Drummond, Lord Maderty, ancestor of the Lords Strathallau, by whom he had five sous (the youngest of whom, the Hon. William Rollo, was beheaded at Glasgow, for his fidelity to King Charles I.) and four daughters. The baron was s. at his decease by bis eldest son, James, second bar...
