Very interesting book, fast-paced and realistic. It felt so real that I was grouchy at the end that it really was made-up! More

The main character was a great story teller and used the description of the country and events to make it so real. I could not put it down. Recommended ... More

Mislabeled lively read

by beches on Oct 14, 2007

This book was listed by the dealer under history/biography, but in fact it is a well written novel. It's lively and amusing, but I would list it under fantasy (as alternative history, which is a sub-catagory of science fiction) rather than historical fiction per se. More
