I bought this just to read something by Elmore Leonard. His writing never disappoints. Carl Hiaasen is also good in this one. The rest of it just feels like an exercise to see how campy the writers can get.

I remember when this was written. The authors decided that each would write one chapter independently as a joke. The result is funny but uneven. As a spoof it works. I wouldn't call it great literature though.
